Oxfordshire Business Aims to Raise £50,000
for Local Hospice for Children and Young Adults
26 - 27th June 2010
A major fundraising event, launched on 20th January by Focus Independent
Financial Advisers and Insurance Consultants, is aiming to raise a minimum
of £50,000 for Helen & Douglas House, the Oxford hospice for
children and young adults.
The event will challenge teams from businesses across Oxfordshire and
the surrounding area to take part in a 24 hour walk covering 50 miles.
It will take place on Saturday 26 to Sunday 27 June 2010 and starts
and finishes at Cornbury Park, near Charlbury. The walk will give the
teams the challenge and pleasure of walking together along the Oxford
canal and exploring footpaths and bridleways in Oxfordshire.
Each team will be asked to raise a minimum of £1,000 and the
aim is to have 50 teams taking part in the challenge. There is a team
registration fee of £100 and each team will need a minimum of
3 and maximum of 6 members. Friends and families can also get together
and form their own teams; they don't have to work for the same company
