Join us this July celebrate the 5th Cornbury Music Festival.
This year legendary artists Paul Simon and Crowded House join a new generation of stars - KT Tunstall, Beverley Knight, Tom Baxter and our favourite Irish treasure, Imelda May at Cornbury 2008.
A packed out line up includes all sorts of legendary performers from The Bangles to 10cc, Toots & The Maytals to Nick Lowe, The Beat and Half Man Half Biscuit. We’re really pleased to have a strong blues contingent with the wonderful Eric Bibb and rapidly rising star Joe Bonamassa. A strong folk bill from our friends at Oxford Folk stars the extraordinary Bellowhead, Salsa Celtica and American new country star, Tift Merritt.
The Cornbury Festival is one-of-a-kind: an eclectic and eccentric
musical carnival - a dynamic summer festival disguised as a country
fayre - a lovingly crafted, top notch, very English open air party,
tailor-made for the whole family.
In short, The Cornbury Festival represents classic summer entertainment
for a friendly crowd from all walks of life. A country fair with
a rock 'n' roll twist; a farmers' market with a dancefloor; a
magical local carnival with a classic contemporary soundtrack.
Headline artists over the past four years have included Robert
Plant, Blondie, David Gray, Jools Holland, Joe Cocker, David Gray, Elvis Costello,
Steve Harley and Texas.
